King Faisal was pious and noble. He started taking part in running the affairs of the country from an early age. He had great qualities of leadership. Saudi Arabia made great progress under his rule. He opened many schools and universities. He set up many factories and mills. He brought vast areas of desert under cultivation. He spread a network of hospitals and clinics all over the kingdom. He worked for the unity of the Muslims. He was a well-wisher of Pakistan and gave Pakistan generous help on various occasions. A wicked nephew of his assassinated him in 1975 and the Muslim world grieved on losing a brave leader.
